  I have a friend who may or may not have misunderstood his membership terms to indicate that he could bring a guest to this fitness club. Whether he was mistaken or not, the treatment we received when I walked in without scanning a card was very unprofessional. The trainer on duty was very obviously annoyed at my 'unauthorized' presence. She informed my friend very curtly that guests were not allowed without advance notice. She went on, in a very pained tone, that this _one time_, she would do us the apparently quite burdensome favor of allowing me to stay and use the facility, for the fee of $10, which is about a third of the cost of one month's membership. She also retrieved an 8.5" x 11" form from behind the counter, apparently for me to fill out before using the facility. I'm guessing that this may be necessary for liability purposes, but it's still a minor annoyance.
  
  So I left. That's the end of my experience with snap fitness. It bothered me quite a bit, so here I am, posting as fair a review as I can. Never having been a member, I can't comment on what that's like. All I can do is extrapolate from how they treat prospective customers. I will, however, relay what my friend, who apparently is quite dissatisfied with the facility, has told me. There's no water fountains in the facility. If you want water, you can apparently buy it from Snap, or you can bring a bottle and fill it in the bathroom. Apparently there's not much in the way of free weights, it's mostly machines. It's probably my friend's fault that he joined a club with that makeup, rather than the club's fault. I'm guessing that their target demographic is middle-aged women, who are probably less interested in free weights than males in their twenties.
  
  Anyway, it only took 90 seconds for Snap Fitness to earn their first (and first negative) review on g+. Whatever the impact of this review, it seems to me like the trainer could have afforded to be courteous and avoided it, even if Snap's policies prohibit prospective customers from evaluating the facility as guests.
